Viking Club

The Viking Club is a fund-raising organization supported by the parents, grandparents, friends, and community of St. Michael School. The ultimate goal of the Viking Club is to enhance the quality of the educational experience at St. Michael School.


The Viking club supports and participates in fundraisers, special collection programs, service projects, educational enrichment programs, school assemblies and family events. It encourages volunteer participation in order to achieve the goal of providing the students of St. Michael School with an exceptional learning experience.

Viking Club Committee Description of Volunteer Activities
Silent Auction Primary fund-raiser for the school; it takes place with reverse raffle during winter months.
Family Fun Throughout year, the school sponsors events for its families to share in the fun.
School Supply Program Pre-order of supplies for upcoming school year.
Scrip Checking order forms and completing gift certificate/gift card orders for school and parish.
Phone Call Helper Make phone calls to school families for volunteer help with special school functions
Baker/Cook Bake and/or cook for school functions and activities.
Room Mothers Assist with parties and establish emergency call lists.
Viking Store

Completing orders for uniforms and school supplies.  Store operation on limited basis.

Scholastic Book Fair Set up, tear down, cashier and assist children in selecting books.
Welcoming Committee Contact new families and host information meeting in August.
General Mills/Box Tops Collect and cut Box Top labels to send away for fund raising.
Used Uniform Organize and label used uniforms for sale.
Teacher Appreciation Provide special "treats" for teachers throughout the year.
Catholic Schools Week Marketing for St. Michael school with a week of fun activities for teachers and school.
Dinner Club Work with local restaurants and create dinner "night out" for St. Michael families to assist in fund raising.
